There's recently been a tremendous buzz about a product from Maybelline called the 24 hour tattoo creme eyeshadow. They are almost sold out everywhere but I managed to grab 5 of them. One of my favorite ones is called "Bad to the Bronze" so I used it for a look on a night out w/ friends last Saturday. Here's the look I wore that night:

Dark Jive | Makeup Play

A few of the group got together for some (drunk) karaoke last Friday night. I don't think you can find very many karaoke places that allow you to bring your own food and alcohol...so i'm thankful this one did. Let's just say that we sang the likes of Gloria Gaynor, Boyz II Men, & Journey :) Here's the simple smokey eye I came up with:

Hard Candy Glamouflage Concealer in Medium
MAC Fix + (set the makeup)

New Year's Eve + Updates | Makeup Play

Happy New Year everyone! How was your new year? As for me, I went on a suicide mission with the boyfriend and best friend and took a 12 hour trip to Las Vegas. It was... an experience. I don't think I'll ever do that again just for the fact of how chaotic it was, but it was definitely a story to tell.

To be honest w/ you, I was suffering from a hangover because of the night before so I couldn't do anything too drastic with my makeup. I decided to do my makeup on the plane so this look took 10-15 minutes & is extremely easy to replicate. Let me tell you - the turbulence, small mirror & lack of good lighting did NOT make this look easy to do :p

FACE
MAC Eyebrow pencil in Spiked
MAC Face & Body in C3
MAC Prolong Wear Concealer NW25
Eve Pearl Salmon Concealer Medium
Hard Candy Glamouflage Concealer in Medium
MAC Fix + (set the makeup)
EYES
Stila smudge stick waterproof eyeliner Silver (inner corners of eyes)
Covergirl Lash Blast
 CHEEKS
Benefit Hoola (contour & bronzer)
TheBalm Betty Lou-Manizer (bronzer)
TheBalm Mary Lou-Manizer (powder highlight)
LIPS
Tarte Lipsurgence in Fiery

UPDATE:

One of my New Year's resolutions this year (on top of the MANY MANY other ones I have) is to be more active in my makeup career & my blog. This led me to decide to do a "Project Lip 365" Where I'll feature in my blog everyday a different lip color, gloss, chapstick, etc... that I have.

I realize that this is a commitment, but I love it and I have waaaaaayyy too many lipsticks an average girl should have ;-) -- please note, some of the pictures can be of lower quality i.e. my iPhone because I ALWAYS forget my camera :(. Hopefully I can pull off this New Years resolution & this project! Wish me luck! :)

Until Next Time! :)
